Dorf & Nelson LLP hosted an event, “Poetry’n’Promotion,” where former Disney Executive Lorraine Santoli, and poet and author, Robert Miss, educated and inspired us in matters of Disney and Dreams.
Former Walt Disney World Company Executive, Lorraine Santoli, provided us with an insightful and behind the scenes look at Disney’s marketing efforts during the time of Michael Eisner and Frank Wells, coinciding with the promotion her powerful book, “Inside The Disney Marketing Machine.” Lorraine was the Director of Corporate Synergy for The Walt Disney Company, and worked endlessly to ensure synergy among all 60 independent business units within the corporation. Her presentation offered marketing principles that could easily be interpreted and applied to any business. Lorraine is an innovative communicator, creative thinker, writer and idea specialist. In her book, she reveals what it was like to reshape a faltering company into today’s media juggernaut. Attorneys, paralegals, clients and marketing enthusiasts enjoyed listening in on the world’s most powerful marketing machine and see how Disney really makes its magic!
Rob Miss read poems from his latest book, “Fever Dreams; A Selection of Poetry.” Rob shared poems that were heartfelt and reminiscent of experiences of war and childhood. His book of poems goes on further to discuss racial injustice, insanity, and violence, while prevailing through lyrical insights and magical moments. Rob has pursued a media, marketing, and philanthropy career throughout his adult life. But the single, continuous thread dating back to the first grade has been poetry and storytelling.
We thank all of our guests who were in attendance, and a special thank you to Lorraine and Rob for making it a magical and memorable event.
