Over two decades ago, Jon A. Dorf began his law career as a sole practitioner and has since expanded his firm to include multiple practices now known as Dorf Nelson & Zauderer LLP. The Firm offers a full suite of attorneys, paralegals, administrative and financial professionals.

The Firm serves a variety of businesses, from prospering enterprises to major corporations. The first priority at Dorf Nelson & Zauderer LLP is serving its clients, not only by providing solid legal counsel but also by serving as trusted advisors. Personally accessible to his clients, Jon further ensures his firm handles each case with an unwavering dedication to excellence and professionalism while simultaneously striving for innovative solutions designed to target client-centric oriented results.

Jon’s personal areas of concentration include Corporate and Business Law, Real Estate Law and Intellectual Property Law; however, he consults with the firm’s professional staff and advises them regarding many of the firm’s other practice areas.

Experience:

With years of service in the corporate arena, Jon skillfully advises his clients on complex transactions such as the sale and purchase of businesses, the negotiation of contracts, and the implementation of internal agreements (i.e., shareholder agreements, operating agreements, and related governance agreements). He also advises businesses on a wide range of matters from promoting growth via strategic planning, counseling on litigation strategy and assisting with maintaining corporate compliance.

Dorf Nelson & Zauderer’s dynamic commercial real estate practice, with Jon serving as Co-Chair of the Department, handles large commercial purchases and sales, refinancing’s and leases. During the course of the last several years, Jon and his team have closed many high profile, large scale commercial real estate transactions totaling approximately three quarters of a billion dollars.

Clients benefit from Jon’s experience in the intellectual property field with matters including trademarks, copyrights, licensing of intellectual property, as well as his counsel regarding general branding.

Jon is married to Yvonne and they are the proud parents of two girls, Brianny and Alexa. The family resides in Mamaroneck, NY.
