Effective October 9th , 2018, most employers in New York State will be required to have a written harassment prevention policy and provide annual sexual harassment training to all employees.  Among other things, state law requires the training to be interactive and include several elements, such as an explanation and examples of sexual harassment, information about federal and state laws and information about employee rights of redress.  (Even more robust requirements will go into effect on April 1, 2019)  The Employment Law Group at D&N are experienced in training employees and managers across all industries in preparation for the October 9th requirement.
