Laura G. Alcott, Partner and Co-Chair of the Real Estate Department, specializes in real property law and advises the firm’s clients on various aspects of commercial and residential real estate matters.

Transactions range from smaller residential purchases and sales to sophisticated multi-million dollar commercial transactions, comprising multiple commercial buyers located both within and outside the state of New York, and involving large scale leases and complex financing.

Ms. Alcott is also the founder of Women in Real Estate (WIRE), an organization of realtors, attorneys, mortgage specialist and other Westchester County real estate professionals who meet regularly in order to advance their careers through networking, education and open round table discussions.

Ms. Alcott has substantial experience negotiating, drafting, and reviewing contracts for conveyances, working through issues of title, and analyzing and negotiating loan documents on behalf of borrowers in major commercial real estate purchases and mortgage refinances.

Ms. Alcott graduated cum laude from Harvard University with a B.A. in American History. She received her Juris Doctor from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. She is admitted to practice law in the state of New York, and she is a member of the Real Estate Section of the New York State Bar Association and a member of both the New Rochelle Bar Association and the Westchester Women’s Bar Association.
