Laura G. Alcott is a Partner and the Co-Chair of the Commercial Real Estate & Land Use Department at Dorf Nelson & Zauderer LLP.
Ms. Alcott specializes in real property law and advises clients on various aspects of commercial and residential real estate matters. Her practice encompasses a wide spectrum of real estate transactions, including acquisitions and sales, commercial leasing and subleasing, lease assignments and commercial real estate based financing.
Ms. Alcott has substantial experience in representing borrowers and lenders, corporate investors, developers, not-for-profit corporations and individuals, guiding them through all of their complex real estate issues. Her commercial real estate experience in acquisitions/sales, financing and leasing has covered an extensive range of property types including neighborhood shopping centers, industrial and storage facilities, vacant land, office buildings and residential homes. She also has experience reviewing and negotiating solar site and battery storage leasing agreements.
Ms. Alcott has substantial experience negotiating, drafting, and reviewing contracts for conveyances, working through issues of title, and analyzing and negotiating loan documents on behalf of borrowers in major commercial real estate purchases and mortgage refinances.
Ms. Alcott is the founder of Women in Real Estate (WIRE), an organization of realtors, attorneys, mortgage specialist and other Westchester County real estate professionals who meet regularly in order to advance their careers through networking, education and open round table discussions.
