Michael Diven is Counsel in the Firm's Litigation Department and Healthcare and General Liability Defense Group. Mr. Diven represents individual and institutional clients in complex, high exposure claims in the areas of medical malpractice and general liability. He has experience working in all stages of litigation from inception through trial and alternative dispute resolution.
Prior to joining Dorf Nelson & Zauderer, Mr. Diven was an Associate at a medical malpractice firm where he developed his litigation skills conducting depositions, representing clients at depositions, conducting legal research, drafting and arguing various motions, representing clients at mediations, as well as second seating and participating in both bench and jury trials.
While in law school, Mr. Diven gained litigation experience at the United States Attorney's Office for the Middle District of North Carolina; being certified for practical training by the North Carolina State Bar. He also externed at the United States Court of Federal Claims in Washington D.C. and interned at the New York State Supreme Court for Westchester County.
