Ryan P. Kaupelis is a Partner in Dorf Nelson & Zauderer LLP’s Litigation Department and Real Estate Litigation Group.
Mr. Kaupelis represents public and private companies, lenders, developers, investors, property owners, contractors, title insurers and individuals, as well as cooperative and condominium boards.
He has significant experience successfully litigating cases from inception through trial, with representative matters involving business disputes, commercial transactions, real estate deals, title issues, construction disputes, cooperative and condominium issues, landlord-tenant matters, employment discrimination and wage claims in federal and state court. He also has significant experience drafting construction contracts, contracts of sale, loan agreements, leases, employment agreements, and appellate briefs and motions, which he has argued in the First and Second Departments. Mr. Kaupelis has also arbitrated disputes before the American Arbitration Association.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Kaupelis was a partner at a well-recognized Westchester based firm where he honed his litigation skills, with a focus on commercial, real estate, and HOA related matters. Prior to that, he was an Associate Attorney at a litigation firm where he handled all aspects of state and federal court cases, including claims for breach of contract, fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, negligence, defamation, GBL § 349 and violations of lien laws. At both firms, Mr. Kaupelis mentored and supervised junior associates to create a supportive work environment.
