Tyler Fiorillo is a Senior Associate in the firm's Litigation Department and Healthcare & General Liability Defense Group.
Mr. Fiorillo represents individual and institutional clients in complex, high exposure claims in the areas of medical malpractice and general liability. He has experience in all stages of litigation from inception through trial, including alternative dispute resolution.
Mr. Fiorillo's scope of practice in the Healthcare/Legal sector extends beyond that of medical malpractice, as he has significant experience representing healthcare professionals, institutions, and businesses in commercial/business disputes, employment discrimination lawsuits, and COVID-19 litigation. He has also assisted healthcare professionals through state and federal audits and recoupment proceedings, specifically those by the Office of the Inspector General (Medicare) and the Office of the Medicaid Inspector General (Medicaid).
Mr. Fiorillo also maintains a transactional practice, assisting with the negotiation, preparation, and review of healthcare contracts, the formation of healthcare practices and Management Services Organizations (MSOs), and the review of internal policies and procedures.
Immediately prior to joining Dorf Nelson & Zauderer, Mr. Fiorillo was an associate at a Medical Malpractice and Healthcare law firm where he honed his litigation and transactional skills drafting and arguing motions, attending and participating in a variety of discovery and pre-trial court conferences, handling all aspects of the discovery process, and assisting healthcare providers in a variety of non-malpractice related needs.
Prior to gaining experience in the Healthcare sector, Mr. Fiorillo worked as an associate at a real estate litigation firm, where he represented large financial institutions and private lenders in residential foreclosure actions.
Beyond the law, Mr. Fiorillo is also a former NASM Certified Personal Trainer and coach, reflecting his longstanding interest in healthcare and human physiology.
