Vincent A. Nagler is a partner in the Firm’s Litigation Department and Co-Group Head of the Healthcare and General Liability Defense Group. He is recognized as one of the top civil liability defense attorneys in New York and has tried hundreds of cases to jury verdict.
Mr. Nagler represents both major corporations and individual practitioners. He specializes in medical malpractice, professional and products liability, construction, toxic torts, premises, and general liability matters. He has a proven track record of winning jury verdicts in medical malpractice, products liability, civil rights, construction, premises and general liability cases in both state and federal court.
Mr. Nagler has been recognized as a New York Metro Super Lawyer multiple times for his trial work in medical malpractice and personal injury defense matters. He is regularly requested to step into complex catastrophic injury cases by insurance carriers to represent their clients at trial. Mr. Nagler is a frequent presenter in the areas of trial practice techniques and negotiation seminar for continuing legal education programs.
After graduating law school, Mr. Nagler spent four years as an Assistant District Attorney at the prestigious Manhattan District Attorney’s Office under Robert M. Morgenthau. There, he conducted grand jury investigations that led to felony indictments, supervised police investigations and prosecuted gang members on behalf of a special departmental unit. Having successfully tried numerous felony cases, he earned a reputation as a tenacious trial attorney. He entered private practice in 1991, joining the Wall Street law firm of Mudge Rose Guthrie Alexander and Ferdon. While there, he was a member of a litigation team defending the Nintendo/Atari anti-trust litigation and the Multi-State Attorneys General price-fixing proceedings.
Mr. Nagler joined Callan Koster Brady & Brennan in 1993. He became a senior partner in the firm of Koster Brady & Nagler in 2014. He joined Vigorito Barker Patterson Nichols & Porter as a partner in 2022, and was there prior to joining Dorf Nelson & Zauderer.
